Two years ago today, we saw our daughter’s sweet face. We were sent 3 precious photos, including the one above. We had waited so long to see our Lainey, a child that we somehow already loved! Today, Lainey is a joy and the absolute most perfect child that God and China could have gifted us with.Â

What an incredible journey. One that I have felt privileged to be a part of in so many ways.
The first time I saw Lainey’s pictures, they brought a smile to my heart and seeing her still makes my heart smile and fill with joy.

How I remember seeing that sweet face for the first time…what an incredible feeling after waiting and anticipating it for so long.
How true that God couldn’t have matched the Clarks with a better child that fits perfectly in the family with her wit, personality…not to mention that she’s SMART and sooooo cute!!!
Can’t wait to see you guys next week and celebrate this along with Thanksgiving…I for one am thankful for the 7 of you and pray for your safety everyday.

How true what “fourgrands” said. God did give you the perfect child for your family. We all must be kept pretty busy praying for our children and grands to be healthy and safe. Wish we could be with you for Thanksgiving, too, but will have to settle for just “being thankful” for all of you.
