Eleven, Eleven, Eleven

Eleven years ago yesterday, three of the cutest kids entered the world – all within 3 minutes.

I gave each child the privilege of choosing what we had for each meal of the day.  Ethan had breakfast.

I cheated and used crescent roll dough.

The breakfast theme continued with Payton’s choice for lunch – pancakes.  They’re supposed to be 11’s.  Don’t be too critical.

Once Randy got home, we did presents…an Ipod charger/speaker/clock radio for Payton.  He loved it.

tracks for Ethan…to go along with the fishing poles and gear that Randy got him a couple of weeks ago.

Marley is positively joyful over her present.  Picture coming up.  ;)

Marley chose dinner at Chili’s…good choice!  They treated the birthday trio to free desserts.

We’d not planned on the desserts – the birthday cake was waiting at home.  Well, since I’m THAT kind of mom that just HAS to have the blowing-out-the-candles shot on the ACTUAL birthday…

Yes, it’s a hamburger.  No, I didn’t make it – again, I cheated and bought it.  Maybe next year I’ll do more of the homemade thing.

Marley’s present??  A tiny little thing…

she calls Boone.

I can’t believe that they are 11 !! The buns look delicious and has made me want some of them. I really thought the pancakes were supposed to be “feet”. LOL

The size of their desserts at Chili’s are huge !! How in the world did they eat all of it? I love the Hamburger Cake, too. None of us would have known if you took credit??

Payton and Marley told me what they had gotten and were excited about it. Ethan was way too busy to talk much (cake and presents were on his agenda).

As for “Boone”…. looks like a mouse to me, but I do like the name.

Hope they got their special box today in the mail.

    Love you all

    Happy Birthday you three!
We are not twins, but I have a sister that was born 2 years and 1 day after me, and we always shared a cake too!
Not too many brothers and sisters are able to do that… It’s very special.

Eleven, eleven, eleven…seems like only a few years ago that we were at Duke Hospital. I put on that outfit and came in the delivery room just before you had our 3 beautiful grands, and my eye glasses were fogged from my happy tears…that is a forever memory for me. I remember Randy asking me, “Peg, are you ok?” I asked him how HE was, and he said “FINE” and I said, “Well then, so am I!” He was right behind you with the camcorder. I looked around and saw tons of doctors, nurses, and 3 little bassinets and I told you “I love you” and you said “I love you too, Mom”. Then I went out in the hall to join the rest of the granmas and granpas and by the time coffee was made, here they came down the hall…Marley first and then Payton & Ethan. We all were so excited and I took several pictures. Then we made a circle and Ron said a very special prayer for our 3 special blessings. (I tear up each time I remember this).

What a great day you guys had for your birthdays…Marley’s pancakes definitely look like feet (Ha!). You all look thrilled over your gifts, and the deserts look yummy!! Love the hamburger cake, especially the picture of the 3 of them looking at it! AND Boone is totally adorable, Marley!! See you guys tomorrow!!!!!!!
