Guess who…

Author: Donna  |  Category: Firsts

…decided she wanted to wear big girl pants today? Yep. For months now, Lainey has been using the potty everyday. I take her at certain times of the day and she almost always goes. This week, we switched to pull ups and emphasized keeping them dry, and I ramped up the number of times I take her to the potty. She knew where her new “unders” were kept in her room, and today she insisted on wearing them. (Funny…I had several kinds with flowers and puppies on them, but she chose the plain white). So far so good, she’s high and dry! The key will be when she consistently TELLS me she has to go – she’s only done this once or twice. Wish us luck…

Wow! Cherish woke up this morning asking to wear panties, too! Today is her first day in them–with only one accident so far (and on tile–yeah!). I am wishing Lainey luck, too =)!

I wish you ALL the luck in the world. Especially considering that Jeane JUST peed her pants. Sigh.

Lots of luck…maybe she’ll surprise us all like she’s done in the past, like happy to wear the “no no’s” after palate surgery, when you thought for SURE she’d have a tough time with them!! We’re pulling for you, Lainey…you’re a tough kid and very very smart!! Love ya, Granma

I am shocked she picked the white ones too. Hattie didn’t go for the princess first, but I had to get her Spiderman underoos. She wore those for quite a while. She actually wore them backwards because she couldn’t see the big Spiderman. She still tries to wear them eventhough they are too small.

Woo Hoo Lainy!!! Way to go! Graeme potty trained himself in one week on a trip to Louisiana. When those Bengbu kiddos decide to do something, they do it right!!!!! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Good luck! That’s one thing I dreaded with each of the four kids. Katie did me in so the other three freaked me out. :-)

Thank you for the kind words about my girls. Since you asked, Lydda is pronounce with a short i and short u. It is close to Lydia, but without the long e sound. It is a place where apostle Paul visited. I really liked it and thought it sounded old fashioned and would go well with Emogene and Hattie.
How is Lainey doing with her big girl bottoms?

Well, she is getting to be a big girl too fast.
Good luck anyway. Love to all, Nana & PawPaw
