Cool Science Day

Author: Donna  |  Category: Family

When I read on our science curriculum today that we were to make electrical circuits, I thought maybe I should put this one off till Randy could be around and help. I’m pretty good with potting soil or raising caterpillars (truth be told, we currently have larvae changing into ladybugs in one cage, 5 cocoons that will soon be Painted Lady butterflies in another, and way too many tadpoles to count in a bin outside). But, electricity? I’m proud to say that we all figured it out and our circuits were a success. How fun to make lights light up with just batteries and copper wires! The kids loved it and so did I.

Here are a few random photos of the little gal from this week…

What is it they say? Don’t buy toys, just buy boxes.

First masterpiece!

Bye, see you next time!

Wow, guys, ‘ole Ben Franklin would be very proud of your accomplishment!! Donna, you’re learning how talented you are every day!! Why, it looks like our little Lainey might be left handed…?! I suppose there aren’t too many more days of school left and then you can relax more, or prepare for Lainey’s surgery. Well, it’s really good, time wise that her surgery and recovery will be around the same time as when school is finished and that will certainly help a lot in that respect, right? She looks quite cute in a cardboard box!! You guys have a great weekend…has Lainey been out on the boat, yet? Wish we were there, as much as I love to ride that boat…that is, as long as Randy doesn’t “gun” it!! Ha! Love, Mom

Hi, Donna! I have been having so much trouble accessing your blog for the last few months…I could read it, but I could not register to comment…something with my computer, I guess…anyway, I wanted to say Congratulations on Laney! She is beautiful and I am so happy for you! We are looking into special needs and I wanted to ask you some personal questions about Laney and your decision to adopt SN. We are just in the research mode right and feel we are kinda at a crossroads of what to do.

Could you email me sometime…My new address is lifesongkim@gmail.com

    Thanks, Donna!

I was glad to see that Lainey was using her weird looking crayon that she got for Easter. She is just getting cuter and cuter with every day.

Your Mom was talking about the surgery. Have they decided when it is going to be?? I haven’t heard anymore about it and am wondering?

What we have with the 4 older ones are “Whiz Kids in Action”. (led by one smart Mom, too)

Your prayers have definitely been answered with this Mother’s Day. Now you are the Mother of 5 !!! Tell my son that I’m glad I am his Mom because God blessed me with two fantastic sons. (I would say perfect and fantastic, but neither of them call me enough. LOL) I loved the card and skorts.
