We have a special guest in our home for the month of July. We’re the host family for Hayde’, a sweet 15 year old from Spain. She’s been with us for 5 days, so we thought it was about time to introduce her to Lake Norman. Properly.

She fell off a few times…they all did. Randy prides himself in being able to throw his kids off the tube.
But, she held on valiantly and kept right on smiling.
It was a great afternoon on the lake. Lots of tubing, swimming, and a little knee boarding. We finally left as the sun was setting behind the trees.
We hope Hayde’ enjoyed her first time out on Lake Norman. It won’t be her last :)

I don’t think that Hayde’ could have come to a better family than yours. She will get to see and experience so much this month. I am looking forward to following along with her month long visit with all of you.

Hayde’ isn’t the only one smiling…we smiled all the way thru this whole blog!!! Loved the part where Payton wanted to join the girls…and they declined his request!! :) Abbey and Hayde’ are actually “airborne” in one of the photos…HA!!!
I knew this first week would be exciting…with the “littles” birthdays and 4th of July celebrations tomorrow…and the “trips” birthdays on Saturday, but didn’t even stop to think about Lake Norman and introducing Hayde’ to the boat and tubes! Oh my, they really look like they had such a great time…and how refreshing that water looks in the summer sun!!! Welcome to Lake Norman, Hayde’!! The fun is just beginning! :)
