Lainey’s first care package! We took a trip to our local Babies R Us store this weekend. It’s been literally YEARS since we’d been in that store, and it certainly made this adoption even more real! We’re sending her an outfit, a soft cell phone that makes sounds, stuffed bunny, pink blanket, photo album with pictures of us (each labeled in Chinese), candies for the nannies, and a disposable camera that we hope will be used to take pictures of Lainey. We’ve heard from other families with children from Bengbu and they’ve told us that they did receive the cameras back on adoption day, with all the pictures taken. That would be so cool!

I think I’ll be in the same situation as you guys by the time we have our little one…. I’m sure it was kinda strange to go back to a baby store again but also exciting! I love your stroller and the stuff you got for Lainey! This must seem more and more real to you now as you approach the day you meet her! How awesome! I am so excited for you! Have you receive any new pictures of Lainey lately?

What fun you’re having!! I love the gifts for her and the stroller is great! I can’t wait to stroll her around your block in it…we’ll have some bonding time that way!! (Of course, if the kids want to tag along with us, that would be even better!!) Don’t forget to pack the “glo worm”! Your LL Bean travel organizer is on it’s way…an early Christmas gift!
