Bad news / No news

** The boys baseball team lost their 2nd playoff game. They were a little bummed, but they’ve recovered. They have a last game on Saturday. It’s been a great season, and has made Ethan fall even more in love with the game of baseball. Payton likes it too, but he’s waiting for basketball season. :)

** We haven’t received a call about Lainey yet. Apparently, there are a lot of kids on this list (good news!), and it’s taking them a while to get through the translations and match children to families. We are anxious, hopeful, and trusting God to add to our family in His time.

Sorry to hear about the boys losing. They are tough kids and will be okay. They have to lose sometimes in order to appreciate the winning more.

“But if we hope for what we do not see, with perserverance we wait eagerly for it.” Romans 8:25

You have both been patiently waiting for the child you have not seen yet, but God’s timing – His ultimate goal is ever present. He is choosing the child that He wants entrusted to you. It really isn’t the agency that is slowing up everything, but it is God that is preparing a new life for Lainey with you… and His timing is always perfect.

Still praying, as you know. My heart is with you, my friend. I feel so connected to this for some reason. Lainey WILL be here one day. And then, I tell you, one BIG celebration! I will be crying tears of joy for you! Hang in there, sweet friend. God is watching you and holding your tender heart in His ever-loving hands.

I think most of this is definitely good news. The boys have another game on Saturday, it makes Ethan more anxious for baseball in the spring, they have basketball ahead of them…and there’s lots of children on the list! We’re very proud of Payton and Ethan for their accomplishments on the baseball team this year, and they’ll have these wonderful memories to last a lifetime. The same goes for “Waiting for Lainey”…the moment will be that more special after when it finally arrives! We’re praying for this to happen very soon! Love, Mom & Dad PS Go get ’em tomorrow, boys!!
