We should have been packing for our trip to Florida. But, how could we not spend some time on the boat? It was a gorgeous day…

Abbey learned how to spin around on the knee board last summer.

Marley learned on Memorial Day. And, mastered it.

Girls just wanna have fun…

We decided to go ahead and let Dylan try a quick dip in the lake…

He wasn’t quite sure, and we realized that his life jacket is too large for him. He kept tipping forward, which he did not like. That might be because he doesn’t have 2 legs weighing him down.

Another first….last summer, Lainey rode on the knee board by just hanging on with her arms. This year, she scooted right up, secured the velcro strap, and rode that thing like a pro! She never stopped grinning.

Only Dylan could fall asleep on a boat.

Wake up, dude.

Time to head home, so once we got to the entrance of the cove, Randy let Payton try a turn at driving. He liked it.

It was a very fun day. We never get tired of the boat :)

Ohhhhh yeah….boating time again. Woo Hoooo!!! It doesn’t seem like almost a year ago when I was riding with you guys out to the middle of Lake Norman!! Looks like you guys had a “perfect day” out there! Your “jumps” into the water are just toooo funny!!

It’s great that the girls are mastering more things this year, and how about Lainey with “no hands” on that board?!! Dylan just takes things in stride…loving the boat, but when it’s time for a nap, well, it’s just time to snooze!!

So glad you guys can take time out of your day, even tho’ packing was “waiting”…some things are just more important and worthwhile!!! =)

Wow, what great family photos….nothing like jumping off of a boat into water…haven’t done that in years!! I have to say I believe this is my first time visiting your blog, as I don’t remember seeing handsful! And I will say I was honored seeing you had my link on your adoption stories! Thank you so much – and I have just added you to ours. We’re still logged in with China, our 5th year is approaching in Aug and we’re so very close now to getting a referral with a LID of 8-8-06! You have a beautiful family and God has so blessed you.

If you only knew what memories these pictures are bringing back to me….. I grew up going to White Lake, skiing, jumping into the lake from the boat and from the top of the pier. Randy and Tony grew up going to the lake all the time. Get Randy to tell the story about “skiing on the bottom of the lake.” My daddy was bitten by the fire ants 12 years ago yesterday and so he has been on my mind a lot and I only wish he could see the love for the water that Randy (Termite)still has and has introduced to his family. PaPa would have loved it !!!!

I am so proud of Lainey with the tubing. I can’t believe she is doing it all by herself. Before long Dylan will be wanting to try it too. The pictures of Dylan w/ Randy, the “littles”, Lainey on tube and Dylan asleep are great. The one of you and Dylan is good too.

Tell Payton that PaPa let Randy drive the boat about the same age as he is. Of course, one of us adults was with him, but he didn’t care. He loved it.

Chores, shopping… everything can be put on hold while memories are being made. I thank God you all know that.
