Ah, spring…

Signs of spring.  Bumblebees are zooming around all the newly blossomed flowers.  The annoying black ants that love our front walkway are back.  (anyone know how to get rid of big, black ants?!?)  Our nebulizer machine is doing overtime, with Ethan’s asthma hitting him hard.  Others are sniffing, allergies gone haywire.  The good, the bad, and the sneezy.

We’re definitely spending more time outside.  This time of year in Florida, we’d already be sweating.  I’m enjoying the nice, slow fade into spring and eventually summer.  Is it just me, or does Lainey look almost pre-teenish in this picture?!  Eeek.

Someone swished his tootsie in Lake Norman for the first time this past weekend.  I held on tight as we stretched his leg into the water…he seemed to have no fear of falling in!

I hope he loves the water this summer.

The kayaks got dusted off , with the boys taking a spin.  They even jumped in the water….brrr.

We’re feeding seed to all the birdies and Mr. and Mrs. Duck daily…several times a day.  Marley stays on top of it all.  Afterall, they are HER ducks.  She thinks they are.

Despite the negative parts of spring, we’re squinting our way through it.  Dodging bees, grabbing tissues, and watching as the world explodes with color.

Aaaachooo!!!! Yes, spring is a little of this and a little of that…but you have to admit the COLORS are soooo pretty!! I’m really not allergic to spring, but I am to fall…must be ragweed. I do hate the pollen, tho!!! You feel like you’re breathing it in and it’s on your clothes, your hair, cars, etc. Last year, we got a TON of pollen in only one or two days, which doesn’t sound too bad, but it was horrible! When the wind blew it out of the trees, it was like a huge yellow cloud!!

Your flower photo is just beautiful!! Glad you can finally enjoy a slow pace into spring and not sweat on the very first day!! Way to go, Dylan…how does that nice lake water feel to your little toes?? Yes, Lainey does look a bit pre-teen…I think it’s the shirt and the pose! The boys look like they’re really enjoying the kayaks..it looks so peaceful..love it!! (You really didn’t have to mention the BEES!!! lol!!)

Donna, this looks so nice and I am so jealous of you.. We are having snow and ice today and tommorow. How I wish we were having the same experience of Spring. Everyone looks great, and yes Lainey does look like a pre-teen… Hope all is well- hugs to everyone.

NO… I refuse to acknowledge that another one of my granddaughters is “growing up.” What with Samara going to college, Abbey taking driving lessons, Anna Grace taller than me and Marley baby sitting… well, all I had left was Lainey to be little. LOL

I am loving the Spring, but don’t like the upcoming yellow coating on everything. Nor am I ready for the heat of summer coming on. Spring for 5 months and fall for 5 months is what I would love !

It won’t be long before Dylan is jumping into the water along with Ethan and Payton. I think he will like it better than he did the snow.

What is the name of the flower you are showing? I love it and the colors, but can’t remember then name???
