Snow Day

Overnight, it snowed and we woke up to around 4  inches covering everything.  What else could we do but PLAY?

Marley was sick the last time it snowed, so she was super excited to enjoy it.

The snow was very powdery, so no snowballs or snowmen.  But, it was perfect for…

Snow angels!  As you can tell, Jack was having a blast, too.

Dylan had to be content to just watch from afar.  Later on, I did take him out in it but he still won’t touch it…and, I had to keep making sure his leg with the cast was staying dry.

It worked well for sledding…we borrowed our neighbors sled again…all the stores were out of them yesterday.

They set up the skate ramp and put it to good use.  This is Payton and Lainey catching air.

And, then Marley…how cool does that look?!  The landing is a little jolting, though.  Not that I tried it.

Icicle tasting was in order.

Ethan tried to snowboard on a sled.  Nice try.

Randy made a grocery store run today for a few things we forgot yesterday.  Tonight, we’re due for lots of sleet and ice.  That’ll make for a nice layer on top of the snow tomorrow…guess we’ll be snowbound again.  It’s okay with me.

LUCKY!!!! We’re getting all icy stuff right now. Probably won’t be good for sledding tomorrow but I’m hoping Jim has to stay home for the day. It’s always nice when the whole family gets to be together!

    Great pictures!

Great snow pictures and everyone (except Dylan) looked like they were having a great time. I do wonder “what” he must be thinking about this “new” world he is now part of???

It is amazing to me how much your boys are like Randy (and Tony) were at that age. They would set up ramps, etc. just like you all did to sled off into the air.

What I want to know is this…. aren’t you glad you are back in NC where we have falling leaves, cooler temps, beautiful springtime and SNOW ?

No snow here…but very dangerous ice on our street. Haven’t seen anyone go up or down our street yet, and it’s after 8:30 AM. I heard that Building Blocks is on a 2-hour delay, when all of the schools in the area are closed!! I sure hope my BB friends are careful if they drive to work today!!

I remember many years ago when Marley hated the snow!! What a great shot of her in mid-air!! Lainey is just laying there making her snow angel! I see that Abbey is wearing that “cool” hat…love it! Ouch..Ethan, are you ok?? LOL Payton, you & Lainey are also air-bourne! Looks like you guys had a fun snow-day!! And what a cute photo of Dylan on the porch watching it all!!
I’m sure you now realize all the snow fun you guys have been missing in Jax, Florida!! If I still had my ice skates, I could have fun on our street..nah…at my age, not a very good idea!! LOL

PS Oh, and I notice the kids are wearing the Steelers (and Marley’s horse) scarves we gave them for Christmas!! I had a premonition that they would need these scarves soon…LOL!!!
