alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our kids had an amazing experience today at church.\u00c2\u00a0It&#8217;s been Missions Weekend at our church, and the Jr. High decided that their project would be raising money to feed the people of Haiti.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2778\/4396215590_56d3556b55.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The kids spent the night at church last night, and packaged 1,000 meals with the help of Change This World (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.changethisworld.com\">www.changethisworld.com<\/a>) and Kids Against Hunger (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kidsagainsthunger.org\">www.kidsagainsthunger.org<\/a>).\u00c2\u00a0 The meals consist of rice, dried vegetables, soy\/protein powder, and vitamin powder.\u00c2\u00a0 Each individual meal costs approximately 25 cents to make.\u00c2\u00a0 The goal for\u00c2\u00a0the Jr. High kids\u00c2\u00a0was to raise enough money to feed 15,000 Haitians.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All the kids were super motivated.\u00c2\u00a0 They were giving their allowances, birthday money, babysitting money, etc.\u00c2\u00a0 Our kids went door to door and raised\u00c2\u00a0money, too.\u00c2\u00a0 The fact that there was a boys vs. girls competition MIGHT have encouraged them a little.\u00c2\u00a0 Not sure who won, yet!\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4026\/4395446439_e2366be8aa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"332\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They awoke this morning at 7am, and by 8am were back at their packaging stations.\u00c2\u00a0 Randy and I saw them at work, as we walked into church.\u00c2\u00a0 A whole group of teens standing around tables, wearing hair nets.\u00c2\u00a0 I hope to get a few of those pictures.\u00c2\u00a0 After about 3\u00c2\u00a0hours, they were done.\u00c2\u00a0 15,080 meals packaged and ready to go to Haiti.\u00c2\u00a0 The organizations rep told them they would be on their way in a couple of weeks, but when they actually make it to Haiti depends\u00c2\u00a0on Customs.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2705\/4395447173_94a3e80f8d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today, they&#8217;re all pretty worn out.\u00c2\u00a0 But, with the satisfaction of knowing that each one of them was part of something really big.\u00c2\u00a0 What a blessing and honor to be the hands and
