{"id":645,"date":"2009-09-26T22:17:54","date_gmt":"2009-09-27T02:17:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.handsful.com\/?p=645"},"modified":"2009-09-26T22:22:34","modified_gmt":"2009-09-27T02:22:34","slug":"just-because","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.handsful.com\/wordpress\/archives\/645","title":{"rendered":"Just Because"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes the best parties are those with no good reason&#8230;nothing to really celebrate, just spending time with friends doing fun stuff.\u00c2\u00a0 That was today for Abbey and her 8th grade friends from church.\u00c2\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what they did&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2490\/3956313769_027d157a3b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They played the Wii<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3455\/3957091860_1bfd82a75d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They went swimming.\u00c2\u00a0 (Yes, Abbey graciously allowed her &#8220;non-8th grade&#8221; siblings to play, too.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2547\/3957092542_5522801fe5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They played cards,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3160\/3956314351_ee209f90ff.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Guitar Hero,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2655\/3957091920_3ed4b3069e.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>and ping pong.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2514\/3956313957_2a23b9e89d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Somewhere in the middle of all this, they had lunch and then&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2664\/3956314059_9db4303878.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Randy explained the rules for the day.\u00c2\u00a0 As you can see, he&#8217;s on rule #2 here.\u00c2\u00a0 No running with scissors.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2594\/3956314149_085e1cc145.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As the boys giggle behind Randy&#8217;s back about said rules, he&#8217;s having the rest of them draw colored discs out of a cup.\u00c2\u00a0 This was to split the kids up into two shifts for going out on the boat.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2515\/3957092024_285a18d3ed.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Happy to be in the pink 1st shift!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2602\/3956313823_a3b716bce3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, while the 2nd shift kids went swimming and played even more Guitar Hero&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2515\/3956366777_3b74bde710.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 1st shift kids pretend to enjoy being trapped in a blown up tube&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3444\/3956366589_10ec9d4147.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>or balancing on a knee board.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2455\/3956366623_0570bae246.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There was a change of shift around 2ish and everyone was back at the house around 4pm&#8230;some thoroughly exhausted (well, maybe just Randy) and most wanting to stay on that boat just a little bit longer.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a great day.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3455\/3956313727_9b6abfbce6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"377\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ever try to get a group of teenagers to pose for a decent group picture?\u00c2\u00a0 Attempt to get them to all look your way AND not make funny faces?\u00c2\u00a0 Me too &#8211;
