The last part of our trip was a spur of the moment thing, when we ran into old friends of ours at the NC Homeschool Convention.\u00c2\u00a0 We were invited to their dads vs. sons football game and it was a fantastic opportunity to see friends that we’ve not seen in years!\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

Back BK (before kids), we were members of Crossroad’s Fellowship and were in a small group with about 6 other couples.\u00c2\u00a0 None of us had kids.\u00c2\u00a0 Randy and I were first, having Abbey in February.\u00c2\u00a0 Amazingly, everyone else had their first child within a year’s time!\u00c2\u00a0 We literally all became parents together, helping and supporting each other along the way.\u00c2\u00a0 We were missing a couple of families, who moved away long ago.\u00c2\u00a0 But, it was a blast seeing everyone!<\/p>\n

The kids – Abbey, John William, Emily, Taylor, Allen, Kathleen, and Zachary<\/p>\n

John William and Abbey, the two oldest.\u00c2\u00a0 Years ago, John William’s parents and I\u00c2\u00a0watched a video parenting series at our house, while the babies played on the floor.\u00c2\u00a0 I started to dig up a baby pic and post it here, but I’ll save them the embarrassment.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

Abbey and Taylor…very good friends back in the day.\u00c2\u00a0 I kept Taylor when she was a baby while Jan worked.\u00c2\u00a0 I remember clearly Taylor falling out of her bouncy seat (she was only a few months old, I had her unstrapped for just a second and she tumbled out).\u00c2\u00a0 Oh, the guilt!\u00c2\u00a0 She looks fine to me.\u00c2\u00a0 :)<\/p>\n

The game…Randy said he wasn’t going to play.\u00c2\u00a0 Yea, right.\u00c2\u00a0 There he is in the black shirt, giving it all he’s got.\u00c2\u00a0 The boys are in there somewhere.\u00c2\u00a0 Not sure who won?\u00c2\u00a0 I know Kristin’s husband, Jim, didn’t.\u00c2\u00a0 He dove for the ball and ended cracking ribs and seperating his shoulder.\u00c2\u00a0 Poor guy is still rehabing…hope you feel better soon, Jim.\u00c2\u00a0 And, yes, you’re a stud.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

Marley and Danielle…Danielle is Zach’s younger sister.\u00c2\u00a0 Her family has been down to Florida to see us a couple of times, which is always great.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
