This year is a first for us.<\/p>\n

We’re used to being crazy busy with the big kids Testify Youth Choir. \u00c2\u00a0That’s the norm. \u00c2\u00a0Begins in January with practices, concert season ramps up in the spring, tour to Ohio in July.<\/p>\n

This year, Lainey and Dylan joined in and became members of Testify Too. \u00c2\u00a0Yep, Susan (the director) has another choir that’s grades 1st-6th. \u00c2\u00a0They just finished up their concerts and did a great job. \u00c2\u00a0No tour for them, though :)<\/p>\n

Here are some shots of both choirs in recent concerts. \u00c2\u00a0Did I mention that my thespian husband plays the dad in the play…that he wrote? \u00c2\u00a0Payton plays Seth, and Abbey plays Paige. \u00c2\u00a0Abbey also has a solo. \u00c2\u00a0Ethan plays the cajon (drum box), and has a solo. \u00c2\u00a0Marley was content this year just being a choir member…no extras this time!<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

So, Payton plays a slightly inebriated teenager at the beginning of the play. \u00c2\u00a0I’m so proud.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Paige (Abbey) is less than impressed to have Seth’s friend, Eli hitting on her. \u00c2\u00a0Seth (Payton) says “Dude that’s my SISTER!” \u00c2\u00a0Which cracks me up because Paige is Seth’s sister in the play. \u00c2\u00a0And, in real life. \u00c2\u00a0Get it? \u00c2\u00a0 Ha…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

That’s Daniel in the blue shirt, Abbey’s boyfriend, who plays Chase.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

And, Abbey has a solo part in that last song!<\/p>\n

Next up…Lainey and Dylan!<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

We’ve told L she needs to work on her facial expressions…she loves it up there, but still has her shy face on.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Dylan, on the other hand…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

This play is set during a gym class, so some of the kids (Lainey, Dylan, and their friend Gracie) jump down and do a quick tumble at certain parts. \u00c2\u00a0Here’s L doing her easy-peasy back handspring. \u00c2\u00a0Later on, she did a one-handed back handspring. \u00c2\u00a0She was born to tumble.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

L also had a short dance number with 2 other friends. \u00c2\u00a0She loved that.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

D played the part of the Big Cheese during one song. \u00c2\u00a0He’s making the money sign here….it’s hillarious.<\/p>\n

The big kids have one more concert this Sunday, and then they’re off on tour to Ohio next Tuesday. \u00c2\u00a0Me and the littles will have a nice week together.<\/p>\n
