{"id":2818,"date":"2014-02-09T14:43:07","date_gmt":"2014-02-09T19:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.handsful.com\/?p=2818"},"modified":"2014-02-09T22:07:34","modified_gmt":"2014-02-10T03:07:34","slug":"in-a-blink","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.handsful.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2818","title":{"rendered":"In a blink"},"content":{"rendered":"<a href=\"\" title=\"\" rel=\"\" class=\"flickr-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm.static.flickr.com\/\/_.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"\" title=\"\" longdesc=\"\" \/><\/a>\n<p>They say time seems to go by faster as you grow older.<\/p>\n<p>In my case, I&#8217;d say that&#8217;s right on the money.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, how could my daughter&#8230;the one who blessed me with the title of Mom&#8230;how could she possibly be 18 already?<\/p>\n<p>But, here we are and she&#8217;s 18 and I&#8217;m no longer that 30 year old &#8220;brand new, have no clue what I&#8217;m doing&#8221; mom.<\/p>\n<p>Well, sometimes the no clue part still fits.<\/p>\n<p>But, Abbey is growing into a young woman right before our eyes. \u00c2\u00a0She&#8217;s a girl version of her dad. \u00c2\u00a0Strong willed, , fun-loving, competitive, a true night-owl, loves the spotlight, prone to hyperactivity, fearless&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>18 is a milestone year. \u00c2\u00a0One that brings with it changes&#8230;something she&#8217;s NEVER liked. \u00c2\u00a0But, I see her growing and embracing the future. \u00c2\u00a0Just a bit.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t wait to see where God brings her.<\/p>\n<p>I hope to add some pictures of her amazing birthday party soon&#8230;the site I use to upload pics is having tech issues. \u00c2\u00a0In the meantime, here are a few hints: \u00c2\u00a0a few friends, semi-formal, hummer limo, dinner out, party all night.<\/p>\n<p>I asked her today how it rated&#8230;0-10. \u00c2\u00a0Without blinking, she said a 10. \u00c2\u00a0:)<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re headed out tonight for our traditional family birthday dinner. \u00c2\u00a0At her fav steakhouse, like always. \u00c2\u00a0I mentioned she&#8217;s not into change, right?<\/p>\n<p>Happy Birthday, Abbey-girl. \u00c2\u00a0We love you always&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>They say time seems to go by faster as you grow older.
