<\/a>\nAs we’ve done every year since…well, forever…we have a Thankful Tree. \u00c2\u00a0I tried to cut corners and I posted a “What I’m Thankful For” poster for everyone to write on. \u00c2\u00a0I got SO much grief about that! \u00c2\u00a0“MOM, where’s the TREE?!?!” \u00c2\u00a0“We can’t just have a poster!!”<\/p>\n
A tree it is. \u00c2\u00a0Marley cut out the trunk, and we just used the leaves to make the top shape. \u00c2\u00a0I like it much better than the poster. \u00c2\u00a0There, I said it.<\/p>\n This is a picture of Abbey driving down the driveway. \u00c2\u00a0WITHOUT me or Randy in the passenger seat. \u00c2\u00a0Yes, she now has her license. \u00c2\u00a0The other three are busy fighting over who’s going to drive every time we go anywhere. \u00c2\u00a0They each have to log 60 hours (and turn 16) before they’re eligible to apply for their licenses. \u00c2\u00a0And, we’re now also logging Abbey’s hours, so she can eventually get her “after 9” license.<\/p>\n Some of the kids went to see the premiere of Catching Fire last Thursday night. \u00c2\u00a0Abbey went all out (are we surprised?) and decided to dress up as Katniss. \u00c2\u00a0I took her to the thrift store and she found 2 dresses and a shirt. \u00c2\u00a0Once home, she went right up to her room and started sewing. \u00c2\u00a0She managed to use pieces of all three things to create her Mockingjay dress. \u00c2\u00a0I was impressed!<\/p>\n While they were at the movie, I took Payton, Lainey, and Dylan to a Thanksgiving dinner and presentations, put on by the littles Classical Conversations group. \u00c2\u00a0Payton graciously skipped the movie so he could be a teen helper with the kids games. \u00c2\u00a0Sweet kid.<\/p>\n Lainey’s class presented a song about the planets. \u00c2\u00a0She was Uranus, and told the crowd “Uranus is a pretty blue planet that spins funny”.<\/p>\n<\/a>\n<\/a>\n<\/a>\n<\/a>\n<\/a>\n
