Summer is going quickly, it seems. \u00c2\u00a0And, we’re busy…no surprise there.<\/p>\n

Last week, Dylan did something he’s been DYING to do. \u00c2\u00a0He went to soccer camp!<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

He had all the gear. \u00c2\u00a0Shy of one shin guard that…well, didn’t need guarding. \u00c2\u00a0Maybe the other kids should have toe guards?<\/p>\n

It was really hot all week, and despite putting sunscreen on him everyday, he’s now sporting a mad tan.<\/p>\n

Yes, I’m a little jealous.<\/p>\n

I took some shots of his last day…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Her name’s Katie. \u00c2\u00a0And, yes, he’s holding her hand. \u00c2\u00a0He had three blond haired girls surrounding him, taking turns hugging him goodbye at the end.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

The coach is the director of our area’s recreational soccer league…he said Dylan was (1) fearless and (2) had incredible balance, even compared to the “two-legged” kids.<\/p>\n

We’re signing him up for soccer in the fall.<\/p>\n

Last Sunday was Father’s Day, and we were blessed to have Randy’s dad and my dad here with us. \u00c2\u00a0The big kids had their last local Testify choir concert that same day, so they were able to attend with us. \u00c2\u00a0What made it even better is that all the kids were scheduled to do their “parts” that day (all the acting parts and solos are double-casted so they take turns with performing in concerts).<\/p>\n

Father of the Year…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

“Hey, jump in and hug”….boys, that’s not what I meant.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

I’m pretty sure some heads got clunked here.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

The big kids were at rehearsal…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Randy and his dad. \u00c2\u00a0My mom took a picture of me and my dad, but I didn’t get one with my camera. \u00c2\u00a0Ugh!<\/p>\n

Soon, it was time to head to the concert.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Payton plays Mason, a highschool junior struggling with his commitment to his faith.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Payton’s about to get tagged…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Abbey is Toni, a “groupie” to the highschool bully.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

And, she dances.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Marley sings with her friend Kylie, they each have solo parts in the same song.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Ethan has a solo and…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

plays a drum box. \u00c2\u00a0I’m told it’s called a cajone.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Randy gives the invitational message each night…and, did I mention that he also wrote the script for the play?<\/p>\n

At the end of the concert, all the dads of the students were invited up to sing along with their theme song “Testify to Love”.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

The whole crew, after the concert…see, I was there that day!<\/p>\n

As of this morning, Randy and the bigs are on tour in Tennessee for the next 6 days. \u00c2\u00a0It’s just me and the littles, which is weird! \u00c2\u00a0But, we’re taking advantage of our time together to do fun stuff and I’m tackling a few projects that I never seem to get around to.<\/p>\n

Here’s to another fun, and busy week!<\/p>\n
