{"id":2567,"date":"2013-02-25T22:53:14","date_gmt":"2013-02-26T03:53:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.handsful.com\/?p=2567"},"modified":"2013-02-25T22:55:25","modified_gmt":"2013-02-26T03:55:25","slug":"little-change-big-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.handsful.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2567","title":{"rendered":"Little change, big change&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<a href=\"\" title=\"\" rel=\"\" class=\"flickr-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm.static.flickr.com\/\/_.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"\" title=\"\" longdesc=\"\" \/><\/a>\n<p>As much as I love our kitchen in this house, it&#8217;s not what I would have designed. \u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;ve always envisioned a farmhouse kitchen&#8230;cozy and rustic. \u00c2\u00a0Picture Olivia Walton&#8217;s kitchen :) \u00c2\u00a0So, I&#8217;m trying to find little ways to make it more my own.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, handles and knobs. \u00c2\u00a0Replacing all of ours could have been $$$, but I found them in bulk on a popular online site. \u00c2\u00a0See above? \u00c2\u00a0Here&#8217;s a closer look:<\/p>\n<a href=\"\" title=\"\" rel=\"\" class=\"flickr-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm.static.flickr.com\/\/_.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"\" title=\"\" longdesc=\"\" \/><\/a>\n<p>Nice, right? \u00c2\u00a0But, the knobs (being oblong) were constantly coming loose and becoming crooked. \u00c2\u00a0Drove me bananas.<\/p>\n<p>The new ones:<\/p>\n<a href=\"\" title=\"\" rel=\"\" class=\"flickr-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm.static.flickr.com\/\/_.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"\" title=\"\" longdesc=\"\" \/><\/a>\n<p>I love these! \u00c2\u00a0Matte black finish, that resembles rawd iron. \u00c2\u00a0And, the circles on the knobs match the ends of the handles perfectly. \u00c2\u00a0And, they aren&#8217;t even from the same manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d love to change out the pendant lights above the bar, and paint the bar stools. \u00c2\u00a0Change the tile behind the stove. \u00c2\u00a0Replace the tile floor with hardwood.<\/p>\n<p>One thing at a time. \u00c2\u00a0This will go slowly&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As much as I love our kitchen in this house, it&#8217;s not what I would have designed. \u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;ve always envisioned a farmhouse kitchen&#8230;cozy and rustic. \u00c2\u00a0Picture Olivia Walton&#8217;s kitchen :) \u00c2\u00a0So, I&#8217;m trying to find little ways to make it more my own.
