Random Christmas shots too good not to share…but, somehow had no time to get on here before today. \u00c2\u00a0Such is life.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Christmas craft with Lainey and Dylan. \u00c2\u00a0I think I shared the initial salt dough handprints we did. \u00c2\u00a0It took them quite a few days to dry, and then they painted them. \u00c2\u00a0I helped a little by drawing lines and showing them which sections to paint which color.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

I think they turned out great! \u00c2\u00a0Nevermind that I still need to spray seal them…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

“The” cookie recipe that must be made each year. \u00c2\u00a0My mom made them every year when I was little, then I took over after I was married. \u00c2\u00a0I still use the same press that my parents received as a wedding gift.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

My three helpers were terrific!<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

We decorated inside and out. \u00c2\u00a0We have trees that line our winding, gravel driveway. \u00c2\u00a0Randy put lights on every other one all the way down. \u00c2\u00a0My favorite decoration this year, hands down.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Marley helped Randy with HIS NC State tree…all sports related ornaments.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

This is our 9th year reading the Arnold Ytreeide series of Christmas stories…we began in 2004, when Abbey was 8 and the trips were 6. \u00c2\u00a0We’ve only missed 1 year, 2010…when we were in China with Dylan. \u00c2\u00a0We rotate through all 3 books, so the one we read this year was last year in 2008. \u00c2\u00a0We forget much of the story, too, so there are still surprises! \u00c2\u00a0And, Randy makes it fun by being silly with all of his “voices”…we crack up and then finally convince him to read normally.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Nativity calendar. \u00c2\u00a0The kids take turns each night, and we all guess what could be behind the door. \u00c2\u00a0Donkey? \u00c2\u00a0Wiseman? \u00c2\u00a0Sheep? Spiderman??<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Christmas eve…after we came home from our church service, I gathered the kids by the tree. \u00c2\u00a0They agreed, as long as…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

…they could do a silly pose.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

 <\/p>\n

I didn’t even make them do this! \u00c2\u00a0They just did…gotta snap that picture.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n
