{"id":247,"date":"2008-02-19T09:59:28","date_gmt":"2008-02-19T13:59:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.handsful.com\/?p=247"},"modified":"2010-03-19T22:18:11","modified_gmt":"2010-03-20T02:18:11","slug":"219-tuesday-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.handsful.com\/wordpress\/archives\/247","title":{"rendered":"2\/19 Tuesday &#8211; Part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-907\" title=\"china-441\" src=\"http:\/\/www.handsful.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/china-441.jpg\" alt=\"china-441\" width=\"550\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.handsful.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/china-441.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.handsful.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/china-441-300x218.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Things we&#8217;re learning about Lainey&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">* She seems to like us evenly, not preferring one over the other, at this point.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">* She eats as much as we give her and gets upset when the meal is over.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">* We haven&#8217;t found a food that she doesn&#8217;t like yet&#8230;her staples are rice, congee (picture a watery rice soup), and egg custard.\u00c2\u00a0 We found out today that she loves banana and bread.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">* If we give her a cracker to eat, she savors it&#8230;taking as long as possible and as many bites as possible to make it last.\u00c2\u00a0 She will eat the cracker faster if she sees more food is coming.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">* She doesn&#8217;t like the stroller, but does fine in the Ergo carrier&#8230;though, she leans away from me rather than hugging towards me.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">* Her favorite toys are harder objects&#8230;the musical cell phone, stacking cups, and (still) her hairbrush.\u00c2\u00a0 She wants nothing to do with stuffed animals or blankets.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">* She has a temper.\u00c2\u00a0 If something happens that she doesn&#8217;t like (for instance, if you take something out of her hand), she will cry and either throw the thing she may be holding and\/or arch her back.\u00c2\u00a0 We can only imagine the frustration she must be feeling, with her world turned upside down.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">* When she gets upset, she makes a kind of hum or sigh over and over&#8230;she&#8217;s obviously learned to do this in order to try and comfort herself when there was no one else around to do it.\u00c2\u00a0 Again, sad.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">* She loves TV.\u00c2\u00a0 We&#8217;ve shown her a couple of Baby Einstein DVDs from Randy&#8217;s Ipod and she&#8217;s mesmerized.
