Is that a word? \u00c2\u00a0Probably not, but I’m still on vacation so I can make up words if I want to.<\/p>\n

We had a great Christmas day around here! \u00c2\u00a0And, I do mean “around here”. \u00c2\u00a0We were fortunate to have the whole day to ourselves, with no where to go.<\/p>\n

The day began kinda late, as far as Christmas morning goes. \u00c2\u00a0The littles were up and playing together upstairs…no one is allowed downstairs until we give the “ok” sign. \u00c2\u00a0But, the teens were still snoozing away at 10am. \u00c2\u00a0Really?! \u00c2\u00a0So, I made the traditional cinnamon rolls (no, not homemade…they refuse to allow me to break tradition and insist on the canned version), and Randy woke them up.<\/p>\n

I’ll avoid going through every-single-present and just hit the highlights of our morning…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Stockings first, as always. \u00c2\u00a0Marley is opening her charm bracelet from her dad. \u00c2\u00a0Randy started a tradition years ago of getting each of his girls a piece of jewelry and last year it was charm bracelets and 1 charm for each daughter and a necklace for me. \u00c2\u00a0Unfortunately, Marley mis-placed hers. \u00c2\u00a0Randy clenched his teeth and replaced it, the charm, and even added another charm. \u00c2\u00a0I got my bracelet and a charm this year, too. \u00c2\u00a0Love it!<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

No stocking for Jack, he got a new bed. \u00c2\u00a0He likes it a lot.<\/p>\n

How about I share favorite gifts? \u00c2\u00a0Abbey…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

She loves the show Duck Dynasty. \u00c2\u00a0If you’ve not checked it out, you’ve got to. \u00c2\u00a0It’s a hoot. \u00c2\u00a0I knew she’d love this shirt.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

And, her very favorite was her new bow. \u00c2\u00a0She’s been wanting one for a while, and was thrilled. \u00c2\u00a0She spent all of Christmas day shooting, and by the days end was in love.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Marley…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

It’s hard to say with Marley because she didn’t really ask for anything big this year, and she seemed to love everything! \u00c2\u00a0She noticed these shoes at the mall a while back and I quickly snapped a pic without her knowing. \u00c2\u00a0So, she loves them!<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

This one could be her very favorite. \u00c2\u00a0She wanted a purity ring this year, but wanted it to be something different that SHE picked out. \u00c2\u00a0It’s a single pearl with a couple of diamond-like stones on the side set in sterling silver. \u00c2\u00a0Beautiful.<\/p>\n

Payton…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

He was easy this year. \u00c2\u00a0And, that’s saying a lot. \u00c2\u00a0In the past, he’s been our most mysterious kid…never wanting anything specific. \u00c2\u00a0Not this year. \u00c2\u00a0The tailgater speaker system was high on the list. \u00c2\u00a0As was the robe he’s wearing. \u00c2\u00a0He found it while we were out shopping and fell in love with the thing. \u00c2\u00a0Now, all he needs is a pipe. \u00c2\u00a0Just kidding.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Ethan…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

This one’s easy. \u00c2\u00a0Although, he might say his bag of Skittles and Simpson’s movie from Abbey ranks pretty high, he was pretty surprised with this new 17 caliber air rifle. \u00c2\u00a0Much larger than his last one, which he used so much it broke. \u00c2\u00a0It’s heavy and loud…sounds like a .22 going off. \u00c2\u00a0He’s very happy.<\/p>\n

Lainey…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Again, easy peasy. \u00c2\u00a0She asked for a kid’s tablet with Wi-fi. \u00c2\u00a0She got half of her wish. \u00c2\u00a0(does a 6 year old NEED wi-fi?) \u00c2\u00a0This is her reaction when she opened it.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

She immediately jumped into my arms, yelling THANK YOU, MOM!!!!<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

One of my favorite moments of the whole morning…<\/p>\n

Dylan…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Well, I can’t figure this kid out. \u00c2\u00a0I wasn’t sure what his fav was, so I asked. \u00c2\u00a0Turns out it was the clearance slip-on shoes I found at Old N*vy…bought them as an afterthought, not planned at all. \u00c2\u00a0They are cute, white with black little skulls and crossbones. \u00c2\u00a0Ethan wanted to borrow them. \u00c2\u00a0Heh.<\/p>\n

Randy…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Biggest surprise for him was that I went to the ABC store and picked up his favorite whiskey. \u00c2\u00a0I’m so cool. \u00c2\u00a0I also gave him an NC State coach’s polo which he loved. \u00c2\u00a0And, a Steeler’s sock monkey. \u00c2\u00a0That last one goes without saying.<\/p>\n

Me…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Love my new Justin boots…I’m fitting right in around here, now.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Biggest surprise? \u00c2\u00a0An Ip*d mini. \u00c2\u00a0I had hinted about a new e-reader…didn’t expect him to spring for this!<\/p>\n

And, because I love them so much, I’m sharing all the sibling hug pics. \u00c2\u00a0The kids drew names just like last year, and had so much fun picking out just the right thing. \u00c2\u00a0They were all so excited for their sibling to open their gifts! \u00c2\u00a0I love that…<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Ethan to Marley: \u00c2\u00a0red and black plaid jacket<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Dylan to Abbey: \u00c2\u00a0bracelet and earrings set<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Lainey to Payton: \u00c2\u00a0Itunes card and his fav candy<\/p>\n

After all the opening was over, Randy suggested they walk down to the downstairs garage.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Dirt bikes, for sharing. \u00c2\u00a0And, for the littles to grow into (they got hula hoops and a pogo stick, too).<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

And, this is how the family room looked like AFTER…<\/p>\n

Like I said, it was a wonderful day. \u00c2\u00a0We ate left-over Christmas eve goodies and the kids spent the day outside, playing with their new “toys”. \u00c2\u00a0Ended the day with a Christmas movie. \u00c2\u00a0Perfection.<\/p>\n
