{"id":1647,"date":"2011-04-27T18:08:15","date_gmt":"2011-04-27T22:08:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.handsful.com\/?p=1647"},"modified":"2011-04-27T18:08:15","modified_gmt":"2011-04-27T22:08:15","slug":"home-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.handsful.com\/wordpress\/archives\/1647","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"flickr-image aligncenter\" title=\"DSC_2552\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/70803758@N00\/5662532570\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5184\/5662532570_efb7883f21.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_2552\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Excuse the goofy shot. \u00c2\u00a0He was being&#8230;well, goofy. \u00c2\u00a0We had to bring his car seat up to the room to make sure his cast fit. \u00c2\u00a0No problem there.<\/p>\n<p>The doctors made their rounds EARLY. \u00c2\u00a07:10am to be exact. \u00c2\u00a0He was given the green light to go home, so we spent the morning having breakfast and packing up.<\/p>\n<p>He got his cast &#8220;tricked out&#8221; before we left. \u00c2\u00a0They padded the edges with mole skin and then he chose a camo wrap. \u00c2\u00a0He&#8217;s in very little pain, and is already scooting around on his bottom a little.<\/p>\n<p>We are amazed that, less than 24hrs from his surgery, we were on the way home. \u00c2\u00a0Our experiences at both the R McD house and Shriners in Greenville, SC could not have been any better&#8230;the staff, doctors, everyone was so caring. \u00c2\u00a0We feel very comfortable there already. \u00c2\u00a0Good thing, since we&#8217;ll be spending a good deal of time there off and on for a lot of years!<\/p>\n<p>I think I may make Dylan a paper chain, so he can see how much time there is until he gets his cast off. \u00c2\u00a0I need something to help him visualize these steps to getting his &#8220;new leg&#8221;. \u00c2\u00a0 We&#8217;re thankful that this particular step is behind him :)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Excuse the goofy shot. \u00c2\u00a0He was being&#8230;well, goofy. \u00c2\u00a0We had to bring his car seat up to the room to make sure his cast fit. \u00c2\u00a0No problem there.
